STEP 1 : Catch the thread onto the hookshank.

STEP 2 : Wind the thread down the hookshank catching in some blue pearl tinsel as you go. Stop the thread about half way around the bend and wind the thread back up the hookshank near to the eye.

STEP 3 : Catch in some red flexifloss and run the thread back down the hookshank again to a position about half way around the bend. Now Wind the thread back up to the eye and let the bobbin hang free.

STEP 4 : Take the blue pearl tinsel and wind it up the hookshank in touching turns. Secure at the eye with thread and trim the waste tinsel.

STEP 5 : Wind the red flexifloss up the hookshank creating a rib. Secure the flexifloss with thread near to the eye.

STEP 6 : Wind the flexifloss back and forth to create a tapered thorax and secure at the eye with thread. Trim any waste flexifloss, Whip finish and cut away the thread.

Step 7 : Take a black permanent marker and run it down the thorax just over the top section. Let the ink dry and then cover the finished fly with a coat of brush on superglue and leave to dry. Now add two more coats of Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Varnish.
